Spread the Chips at Lemon Creek Park

The Museum will be hosting a “Spread the Chips” party where participants will help spread woodchip around the base of the spruced up Purple Martin houses to help prevent weed growth and repaint four of poles on which the housing sits.Purple Martins are North America’s largest species of swallow. Calling Volunteers for Horseshoe Crab Monitoring

Become a Citizen Scientist!  Volunteers are needed to collect data during the Horseshoe Crab spawning season April through June. 

Monitoring sessions will be held six nights each month for 2 hours (between 6:00pm and 11:00pm). Specific times will change with the tide (literally).  For more information and to register to be a volunteer, call Seth Wollney at 718.483.7105.
